SPORTSMAN'S SHIELD was founded in 2019 to help hunters protect their gear. After growing tired of hearing friends and family complain about their gear being stolen season after season, we set out to find a solution to an expensive problem. 

After tons of research and testing of our many hypotheses we found that psychological deterrents were the most cost effective way to protect your gear. How is that possible? Researchers call it the Deterrence Theory. It is the idea that 'fear of getting caught" is the main reason why people don't act on their impulse to steal. The certainty of being caught is a vastly more powerful deterrent than the punishment itself. Psychologists' tell us you can deter crime by increasing the perception that criminals will be caught and punished. Sportman's Shield sets out to apply this theory to help protect your goods.

We want hunter's to get back to focusing on what is important in life instead of fuming over another stolen trail cam or treestand. Everyone deserves the right to enjoy God's creation without worrying about someone stealing our stuff.
